Golden Race Around the World

(Malta).- This year, Golden Race wanted to be present in as many shows and conferences as possible. The result was more than 18 events as exhibitors in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia.

Golden Race Around the World

Big news from the UK

The UK market is one of the biggest and longest-established anywhere in the world and Golden Race team has visited London at least three times to attend important events and shows such as ICE, Betting On Football and Betting On Sports. In all of them, we have given the best of ourselves, showing our most advanced solutions and our complete portfolio of sports and virtual games.

However, what we are most proud of is that the UK Gambling Commission granted Golden Race a Combined Remote Gambling Operating Licence. With this new licence, the company is expected to strengthen its reputation within the UK market.

Martin Wachter, CEO and Founder of Golden Race, commented: “Based on our long-term relationships with UK operators, we are quite confident that Golden Race will become one of the main virtual sports partners in the country.”

The US Sports Betting promising future

On the other hand, Sports Betting in the US has become the hottest topic in the land. Lotteries, albeit most of them were caught by surprise following the SCOTUS decision, are vying for position to be able to offer a form of the product to their customers. Industry reports are predicting that legal sports-betting is likely to spread to anywhere between 25 and 35 US states by 2023. Not all states will follow the same model but most of them will find a way to launch a form of sportsbook to their customers. Online betting will follow suit albeit at a slower pace with the same industry reports predicting between 11 and 22 states allowing for it.

This year’s G2E Las Vegas was one of the most important ones for Golden Race to exhibit in as it was the first one following the PASPA repeal by SCOTUS back in May of this year which generated a frenzy of interest among all concerned. To be exact, on 14 May 2018 the United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) paved the way for individual states to introduce legislation permitting sports betting if they so wish, by striking down a federal law which had effectively prohibited this.

Apart from the G2E, we were also in Las Vegas to attend The Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention (NIGA) and, in Cleveland for the NASPL Annual Conference. Our visit in Cleveland meant the entry of Golden Race into the NASPL as an associate member; an achievement that “demonstrates our ongoing commitment to work together with the local industry to bring the best gaming experience to the end customer. The acceptance of our application, following stringent eligibility requirements, is a recognition of our efforts to responsibly grow our company within regulatory gambling frameworks.” - George Vonapartis, Golden Race Regional Director, North America.

Golden Race; the undisputed leader in Africa

Of course, we have also visited the African continent, one of the world's most exciting opportunities for sports betting and virtual sports betting operators. Actually, Golden Race’s African customers represent more than 15 million tickets every day and this has been our main market for years. The growing popularity of sports betting in Africa is a fact and online sportsbooks such as Golden Race’s are expanding quickly into the African market.

This year we have participated in ICE Africa held, for the first time, in South Africa; and we have taken part in Sports Betting West Africa Summit held in Lagos, Nigeria, the country where Golden Race is the uncontested leader in both virtual sports and live games.

Latin America; a growing market

Golden Race is aware of the importance that the Latin American market is acquiring, that is why we wanted to be present in Colombia to attend FADJA and GOL Expo. In Peru, we attended Peru Gaming Show and, recently we have been in Argentina to take part in the World Lottery Summit.

Whilst in LatAm, Golden Race considered two major factors; the myriad regulatory regimes there and, crucially, player tastes from country to country.

The end of a ‘Golden’ year

This year 2018 has been a year full of great news and developments. Golden Race has participated in many events and our team has travelled the world in search of the trends of the sector. We have shared thoughts with the leaders of companies like ours, we have created new connections and reinforced existing ones.

We are closing out the year, one filled with great news like the remarkable improvements made to our online platform to offer the best betting experience to our operators and their customers. An optimal experience for both desktop and mobile that makes our sportsbook full of amazing virtual games accessible 24/7. Our 3D horses have undergone a great transformation thanks to the most advanced technology; we have developed new football championships such as the Euro Champions and the Virtual World Cup; live games like Live Keno Deluxe, Mega 7, and Spin2Wheels –which is the first 2 wheels live draw in the industry; and we are working on new exciting releases that will not leave anyone indifferent... But for that, we will have to wait until 2019.
